Amanda Valenti

Our owner & founder, Amanda (she/her) believes one can sustain a happy healthy lifestyle via nutrition, physical movement, and stimulating the smooth flow of Qi. In practicing Chinese Medicine, Amanda aims to bring health and wellness to her surrounding communities. She received her Master’s of Traditional Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California. Amanda’s focuses are on, but not limited to sports medicine acupuncture and injury rehabilitation. She is also passionate about treating emotional disorders, women’s health, auto immune disorders, and minimizing the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

Dr. Nazo Canitez
L.Ac., MAcOM
Nazo received her Master of Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine from Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Tucson, Arizona. In her home country of Cyprus, Nazo aided many bi-communal projects to bring the island together by organizing workshops and retreats for both Greek and Turkish Cypriot communities. Within our field Nazo is drawn to treating women’s health, pain management, injury recovery, sports medicine, and supporting mental health disorders. She has a growing interest in the gentler Japanese acupuncture styles, including those that make use of the teishin and the enshin, which are Han Dynasty non-insertive tools.

Dr. Maura Hartzman L.Ac., DACM, MACM, Dip. OM
Maura attended Daoist Traditions for her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Her studies emphasized working within integrated settings of Eastern and Western Biomedicine. In practice she uses pulse diagnosis, acupuncture, herbal and stone medicine, essential oils, moxibustion and nutrition therapy. Dr. Hartzman is passionate about treating—but is not limited to—fertility, menstrual regulation and women's health, digestive distress, emotional regulation, regulating the effects of chemo treatments, cancer support and care, headaches and migraines, and general health and wellness for longevity maintenance.

Rebecca Shatles
M.Ac, Dipl.Ac, L.Ac
Beck is a Worsley trained Five-Element acupuncturist, one of the few in the state. This comprehensive style of acupuncture addresses the whole person for general health and emotional well-being. It has the ability to reach an individual at the deepest level and can be described as “medicine for the soul”. Beck also specializes in orthopedic acupuncture, the more targeted treatment of areas of injury and pain. unique mix of treatment styles allows her address an individual’s needs at all levels, body, mind and spirit. Her desire as a practitioner is to facilitate healing and help each individual reach his or her full potential. She loves working with athletes of all ages and levels, anyone dealing with pain that limits their daily activity, supporting woman as they transition through the stages of life and those dealing with anxiety or depression.

Tatiana Tyszko
Tatiana is a University of Utah graduate with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with an Emphasis in Graphic Design. She has been with Valenti Acupuncture since 2021, after needing a break from the corporate world + wanting to find a career that spoke to her soul and fueled her passions.
In addition to managing all things Valenti Acu, she is also the general manager of local ice cream spot Normal Ice Cream, where you can find her elbows deep in a soft serve machine. She’s here to answer any and all of your questions and excited to get you started on your wellness journey!
